UTIBER Transport Consulting Management Ltd. is the successor of the Transport Consulting Management Company, which was established as a state-owned company on 1 January 1971. By virtue of privatizations, since 1990 UTIBER has been in 100% privately owned. Since its privatizations the company has gradually developed into a company of some 130 employees, having, beside a central office in Budapest, a network of branch offices all over the country

The activities of UTIBER have been closely linked, over the past decades, with transport infrastructure development, construction and modernizations of the Hungarian road network. During the decades of its history, UTIBER has evolved into one of the largest consulting engineering organization of the country and gained a wealth of experience in the preparation and management of transportation, environmental and building projects. The total value of projects currently in hand is around 300 billion HUF (1.1 billion EUR), which well characterizes the magnitude of the firm’s activity.

The firm’s management is motivated by the intention to develop the firm from an already reputed status into a leading actor in the market of consulting engineering services.

In this endeavour great importance is attached to the human factor. In addition to the permanent staff, UTIBER has a further access to a great number of special experts and sub-consultants employed on-contract. The broad professional background in engineering, economics, law and other disciplines ensures the implementation of projects with high quality, in strict observation of deadlines and at favourable costs in order to meet the requirements of clients and operators alike. The diversity of expertise the staff possesses makes the firm capable of managing civil engineering and building projects throughout the whole project cycle, i.e. from the feasibility studies until the taking over of the completed facility by the client.

UTIBER is a founding member of the Hungarian Association of Consulting Engineers, which is the national society of FIDIC. UTIBER was the first company in Hungary applying FIDIC conditions as tendering and contracting method already well proven in the international practice and has been systematically working, as Engineer, on this basis at its major projects.

In 1998 the firm obtained ISO 9001 qualification and introduced quality assurance to each field of its activity as certified year-by-year by an independent auditor.
