As the continuation of the M35 motorway, the section between main road 481 and Berettyóújfalu (49+050 – 69+250 km) was constructed in the second project phase, which includes the Debrecen-state
border leg of the M35-M4-M47 interchange, as well as the 1.5-kilometre-long segment of the M4 motorway between Berettyóújfalu and Nagykereki (1+025 – 2+550 km). The M35 is a crucial element in the Hungarian and international high-speed road network.
