M4 SZOLNOK BYPASS BETWEEN ABONY AND TÖRÖKSZENTMIKLÓS

Engineer: UTIBER Kft.

Building works are in progress on the 27-kilometre-long, 2×2-lane road section, including the related six multi-level interchanges, structures and rest areas. The project also comprises the construction of bridges above the Zagyva and Tisza rivers. Remarkably, the span of the latter structure will measure 750 metres.

M44 TISZAKÜRT – KONDOROS, SECTION II.

The main objective of the project is to improve access to the region, and to connect county capital Békéscsaba to the Hungary’s high-speed road network. The planned segment will be located strategically between two Pan-European transport corridors.

M44 SECTION BETWEEN LAKITELEK – TISZAKÜRT

The main objective of the project is to improve access to the region, and to connect county capital Békéscsaba to the country’s high-speed road network. Although the future path of the road is not listed
among Pan-European corridors, it has to endure considerable commercial traffic in the form of mainly Hungarian, Romanian and Bulgarian HGVs. Nevertheless, trucks from other countries – e.g. Turkey,
Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Baltic states – are also a frequent sight on road 44. If completed up to the border crossing point near Gyula, the M44 could also link up to the future high-speed section
to be built near Arad and Oradea.

M8, KÖRMEND – RÁBAFÜZES (STATE BORDER), PART 2
The latest renovation job concerns the stretch of road between chainages 180+650 and 190+114,70 km. The M8 is part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) corridor linking Eastern and Western Europe, which carries significant opportunities to boost economic competitiveness by providing logistics services for international commerce.

M85

Currently, the 57.45-kilometre-long segment between Csorna and Sopron is being constructed, which comprises 45 bridges, two game passes, as well as one complex and two simple rest areas. As part of the project, a new operation and maintenance centre is also being set up in Nagycenk.

MAIN ROAD 54

The chief goal of the project is to upgrade the southern bypass road of Kecskemét between the M5 motorway and main road 5. The 2×2-lane configuration and turbo roundabout junctions greatly improve the flow of traffic – including the traffic bypassing the city –, while also enhancing the road’s capacity and safety. In addition to supporting the area’s thriving industrial activities, bicycle traffic is served by a separate network of service roads and dedicated underpasses.

EXTENSION OF MAIN ROAD 67 TO 2X2 LANES ON THE SECTION BETWEEN M7 MOTORWAY AND KAPOSVÁR (NORTH), PHASES I-V

Upgrading main road 67 to 2×2 lanes between the M7 and Kaposvár solves the connection of the county capital to the Hungarian high-speed road network, and promotes tighter interregional ties. The phases are: I – Somogyaszaló bypass, II – pavement reinforcement, widening works, III – Mernye bypass, IV – pavement reinforcement, widening works, V – Mernyeszentmiklós bypass.
